Island Getaway and Treasure Hunt
Treat your group to a fun and productive day of team-building
on George’s Island with our customized, clue-based
treasure hunt. Our hunts are fun, but challenge each team
to reach a solution by working together and creatively leveraging
their individual skills, knowledge and abilities. Afterwards,
unwind and enjoy George’s Island and a catered meal.
Follow our three easy steps to arrange for a team-building
event you won’t forget.
STEP 1 - Choose your hunt...
X Marks the Spot - Searching for Treasure on George’s
Island
Welcome to George’s Island where Boston history comes
alive with our original treasure hunt. As your group arrives,
you are greeted by our CharActor, “Professor Plum,”
of the George’s Island Historical Society. Your group
is divided into teams and provided with a set of rules,
an answer sheet, a map and other items that will help you
during the hunt, including a Polaroid camera and film. The
professor sends your group on a treasure and scavenger hunt
in search of historical data on the island and former P.O.W.
camp, Fort Warren. But beware of the ghosts, as our CharActors
may help or hinder your team.
When time is up, each team submits their answers and breaks
for lunch or cocktails while the answer sheets are scored.
Professor Plum then reveals the answers, announces the winners,
and awards prizes to the winning, and often, losing team.
PIRATES AHOY! A High-Tech Treasure Hunt
Avast, ye landlubbers! The fierce pirate Ed Teach
has hidden his purloined riches in well-hidden caches in your
locale. You have a faded copy of his treasure map giving the
geographic coordinates of one of his buried chests of loot.
Using your handheld Global Positioning System satellite navigation
receiver, you can punch in the coordinates and follow the
arrow right to the spot. Sounds easy, doesn’t it?
Captain Teach was no fool! Each cache contains clues and puzzles
for the location of the other stashes that the cunning captain
calculated would be too difficult to solve for anyone who
stumbled across it. Work with your teammates to collect the
pirate’s treasure. Work quickly, however, since there’s
rumored to be a rival team looking for the same treasures!
Solve more puzzles, and collect more prizes. Rumor has it
that a "motherlode" of booty awaits the most effective
team. Beware, for some of the superstitious local villagers
swear that the ghost of Ed Teach himself haunts the ground
where his treasure is buried, and woe to any who disturb it!
